Thanks everyone!

This year's festival is over. We've had a wonderful week, together with a big and enthusiastic audience.

We started off on the inner courtyard of the Linköping Castle with Sweden’s leading jazz singer, Rigmor Gustafsson. A nice summer evening with warm weather and a relaxed athmosphere.

During the week, we met world famous pianist Peter Jablonski, the LUX Quartet of Vienna, Swedish jazz trumpet virtuoso Peter Asplund, pianists Bengt Forsberg and Otto Freudenthal, Duo Arlecchino and our Artistic Director, clarinetist Staffan Mårtensson.

As always, the professional ensembles of the Östgöta Symphonic Wind Band were participating, as well as well known local musicians, such as violinist Sofi Sunnerstam and pianist Mats Jansson.

Our special children’s concerts in Linköping and Norrköping, H C Andersen's "Thumbeline" with the Crusell Quintet were met with great appreciation by children and parents.

The final concert was a tribute to this year’s Nobel Laureate, Tomas Tranströmer. Actress Stina Ekblad and the festival’s musicians performed together to join words and music.

This concert was recorded by the Swedish Radio, as well as another concert with music by Poulenc, Milhaud, Franz Schmidt and Julia Purgina. They will be broadcast in the autumn, the dates are yet to be announced.

On this home page you will find all details about the concerts.

See you again on August 10-17, 2013!

Welcome to enjoy classical music and jazz in the lovely province of Östergötland!
